Here’s a wild WrestleMania story that you probably haven’t heard.

The daughter of actor Mr. T, comedian Erica Nicole Clark, has gone viral, thanks to a hilarious anecdote she shared during a stand-up routine about the night her father teamed up with Hulk Hogan against Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff in the main event of WWE’s first WrestleMania.

According to Erica, Piper broke her father’s ribs early in the match, sending Mr. T to the hospital. She claims that afterward, an upset Hogan was reportedly using cocaine and vowing revenge on Piper.

Later that night, Piper came to their hotel room to apologize — but, as Erica tells it, Hogan attacked him on sight.

“Hulk Hogan’s like, ‘fuck that,’ and grabs Roddy Piper, and brings him into the hotel room, throws him against the wall, smashes the mirror,” said Erica.

Ironically, despite the allegations of drug use, the story casts Hogan in a somewhat positive light. This is especially interesting given Hogan’s controversial past. In a secretly recorded tape, Hogan once admitted to being a “racist to a point.”

Yet in this moment, he stood by Mr. T — demonstrating a loyalty that echoes the message in his iconic theme song Real American:

If you hurt my friends, then you hurt my pride

I gotta be a man I can’t let it slide

Erica’s story may not change how some people see Hogan, but it’s sure to leave them laughing at the absurdity of 1980s pro wrestling.
