Fuka Tsunoda was the seventh signing Brighton made in this transfer window, but perhaps the most eye-catching is the re-signing of Michelle Agyemang on loan from Arsenal.
Agyemang became a household name during Euro 2025 as her late equalisers against Sweden and Italy helped save the Lionesses on their way to a second successive title.
Speaking at his media conference earlier, Brighton boss Dario Vidosic said Agyemang will have to learn to deal with greater attention on and off the field this season – but has the talent and mentality to do so.
“She doesn’t feel like a new signing,” Vidosic said of the striker, who also spent last season on loan at the Seagulls. “And the growth from the Euros, what she did with the national team, she has high ambitions for the season, we will help her as much as we can.
“She is a kid that loves to play, I will protect her as much as possible. I understand the fascination, she is an excitement machine with a nose for goal, she showed that at the Euros.
“But she is young, will face ups and downs, this season will be very different as the attention is a lot closer. But I have no doubt she will be important.”
