CHAMPAIGN — A day before Illinois football’s season opener, Illini defensive coordinator Aaron Henry gave Tomiwa Durojaiye a clear message.
“I look at him and tell him the only thing that’s going to stop him from being great is him,” Henry told Illini Inquirer. “I thought in that moment he needed to hear that from me.”
Henry’s message was praise mixed with a little harsh truth, the type of tough love Durojaiye may need to reach his massive potential.
