Manchester United waved goodbye to Rasmus Hojlund on transfer deadline day.
In 2023 Rasmus Hojlund signed for Manchester United with high hopes. And while there were moments of promise and even a FA Cup win, the Dane has now left the club.
United agreed to loan Hojlund to Napoli, with a £38 million clause that Napoli can activate with Champions League qualification.
It is probable that the striker has played his final game for Manchester United.

Rasmus Hojlund has been included in the Denmark squad for their upcoming internationals despite his lack of recent game time.
Speaking to the media ahead of their upcoming games with Scotland and Greece, Denmark coach Brian Riemer has given his view on Hojlund’s loan move.
Riemer told Bold.dk: “It’s an exciting choice that Rasmus has made because he is returning to something that has worked for him.
“It was in Serie A that he had his big breakthrough, where he also scored a number of goals.
“I think Rasmus’ playing style fits Serie A really well.”
Riemer happy Hojlund will play regularly
It was made clear to Rasmus Hojlund that there was no pathway to game time at Manchester United after Benjamin Sesko’s arrival.
Even with Sesko named on the bench for United’s opener, Hojlund failed to make the matchday squad.
In a World Cup year, it is essential for Denmark’s chances that Hojlund plays regular football.
Riemer added: “Of course the expectation is that he will play more than has been the case.”
The international boss was recently forced to leave long-serving Christian Eriksen out of the Danish squad, with the midfielder still searching for a new club following his release.
