Powell’s Books has laid off more than a dozen employees.
The Portland company laid off 18 employees in July, August and September, according to a Powell’s spokesperson. Impacted positions were not limited to retail locations and primarily affected “management and business services positions across several departments,” the spokesperson said in a statement.
