Damian Lillard holds four of the top five spots for PPG leading seasons in Portland.

The Portland Trail Blazers have seen one player dominate their record books in scoring. That player is Damian Lillard, who returned to the team in 2025 following two seasons with the Bucks. Let’s look at the Trail Blazers’ record books and highlight their top five leaders in points per game for a single season.

Damian Lillard – 2023, 32.2 PPG

The Trail Blazers selected Lillard with the sixth pick in the 2012 Draft. He won the Rookie of the Year award, averaging 19.0 points, 6.5 assists and 2.3 3-pointers per game. In his second season, he made his first All-Star team and was named All-NBA Third Team. His most potent scoring campaign came in 2022-23 when he averaged 32.2 points per game. That season, he also averaged 4.2 3-pointers, 4.8 rebounds and 7.3 assists. He made the All-Star team and was named All-NBA Third Team.

Damian Lillard – 2020, 30.0 PPG

Lillard appeared in 66 games and averaged 38 minutes during the 2019-20 season. He averaged 30.0 points, shooting 46.3% from the field and 40.1% from behind the arc. Not only did he shoot for a high percentage from behind the arc, but he averaged 10.2 three-point attempts per game. In addition to his scoring prowess, Lillard averaged 4.3 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1.1 steals. He made the All-Star team, was named All-NBA Second Team and finished eighth in MVP voting.

Damian Lillard – 2021, 28.8 PPG

Lillard had another efficient season in 2020-21, shooting 45.1% from the field and 39.1% from behind the arc. He was even more aggressive from deep, averaging 10.5 3-point attempts per game. In addition to his averages of 28.8 points and 4.1 three-pointers, Lillard averaged 4.2 rebounds and 7.5 assists. That helped him make the All-Star team, be named All-NBA Second Team and finish seventh in MVP voting.

Clyde Drexler – 1989, 27.2 PPG

The Trail Blazers selected Drexler with the 14th pick in the 1983 Draft. He didn’t play much during his rookie season, but he eventually became one of the most productive players in franchise history. In 1988-89, he averaged 39 minutes across 78 games. He finished with averages of 10.6 made field goals and 21.4 shot attempts per game, which both ended up being the highest marks of his career. That enabled him to average 27.2 points per game. Drexler also chipped in averages of 7.9 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 2.7 steals. He would go on to appear in 867 career regular season games with the franchise, averaging 20.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 2.1 steals. Over 94 playoff games, he averaged 21.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 2.0 steals.

Damian Lillard – 2017, 27.0 PPG

Lillard averaged 36 minutes across 75 games during the 2016-17 season. He shot 44.4% from the field, which was up from 41.9% the season prior. He finished the season with averages of 27.0 points, 2.9 3-pointers, 4.9 rebounds and 5.9 assists. Over 769 career games with the Trail Blazers prior to the 2025-26 season, Lillard averaged 25.2 points, 3.1 3-pointers, 4.2 rebounds and 6.7 assists.
