Texas A&M football was set to be without Reuben Fatheree, Jerome Myles, and Jordan Shaw for this upcoming game against the Utah State Aggies, but just like last week, it looks like there will be a few more players inactive. As players come out of the tunnel to warm up for this game, Texags is reporting that Kelvion Riggins, Chace Sims, and Marcus Garcia are also not going to play in this one.

Fatheree is the biggest contributor out of this group, without a doubt, so this late-breaking news is not that much of an issue as concerns this week.
The Aggies are hoping that their starters can make quick work of Utah State in this one, so the backups are going to play a bit more here than they normally would. Those lower strings will be a little bit thinner in this game than they would be otherwise.
Texas A&M missing five players due to injury against Utah State
Fatheree is a senior offensive tackle who made some noise in his first season, starting at tackle in 2021. He’s had some injury trouble since that point, however, making his presence a little inconsistent, but he’s going to figure in prominently this year once he makes his return.
Shaw is a nickel transfer out of Washington who is set to play in a backup role to Tyreek Chappell this year. There is some optimism about the play he can bring to the defensive backfield, so hopefully he’ll be back soon.
Sims, a freshman defensive tackle, is a guy that the coaches and insiders are very high on. A member of a three-man DT class from the 2025 cycle, he could have the highest ceiling, but his contribution may not come until later in the year.
Marcus Garcia is likely to redshirt this year. He’s a freshman offensive tackle from the DFW area, but with so much depth ahead of him on the OL, this is likely to be a development year for him.
Riggins, also from the DFW area, is a freshman linebacker. He could see some time later on, but right now is taking his time to develop.
