Chelmsford has partied hard today at Hylands Park during Radio 2 in the Park.

While the party isn’t quite over for the weekend, it has been quite a day here.

The day started strongly with a performance from Stereophonics and there was even a fan in the crowd who was seeing them for the 21st time!

Ella Henderson was next on stage, belting out numerous hits, before Marti Pellow wowed the crowd in his glorious kilt and spoke of his love for Essex.

Kid Creole and the Coconuts was next, jamming away and giving off positive vibes, ahead of Essex’s own Jessie J, who was open about her recent breast cancer surgery.

Ronan Keating then had everyone singing about life being a rollercoaster, followed by Belinda Carlisle giving a majestic performance with her songs Heaven Is a Place on Earth and Circle in the Sand.

Finally, Bryan Adams offered the crowd epic guitar riffs, banging tunes, a cameo from Mel C, and he wowed the crowd with his best known song, Summer Of ’69.

It is hard to describe just how good today was and we cannot wait to do it all again with you tomorrow!
