Cam is hit as he throws, the ball is on the ground and the Broncos have it. Ball game. #TENvsDEN

— Titans Radio (@TitansRadio) September 7, 2025

The Tennessee Titans open the 2025 regular season against the Denver Broncos at Mile High Stadium on Sunday afternoon at 3:05 p.m. CT in Denver, Colorado.

The Titans face a massive test to open their season. It’s a harsh environment because of the elevation, it’s a road game, and it’s the debut of their No. 1 quarterback, rookie Cam Ward.

The Broncos are on a rising track behind second-year quarterback Bo Nix, while the Titans are rebuilding. The Broncos certainly have the edge, but don’t sleep on the Titans. They may not win, but they may still surprise you.

The Tennessee Titans were given one minute to get down the field and tie the game. With under a minute to play, the Broncos lead 20-12, and Ward had the opportunity to tie the game up. Instead, the Titans turned it over on downs. Broncos win 20-12.

The second-year cornerback has both struggled and shown signs of greatness against the Broncos tonight. He’s been penalized a few times, and now he has suffered an injury in the season-opener.

Late in the fourth quarter, defensive end Jeffery Simmons was called for an unnecessary roughness penalty. Having more than one of the Titans’ penalties on Sunday, Simmons’ penalty just ahead of the two-minute warning essentially ended the game for the Titans.

Penalties, penalties, penalties. Jeffery Simmons was called for personal foul after what would have been a big loss on the play. The extra push at the end was the reason. I don’t know if the pay was blown dead at the time. But the #Titans now have 13 penalties for 131 yds.

The Broncos were driving down the field, and J.K. Dobbins was running with the ball when T’Vondre Sweat dove to tackle him. He was injured on the play. Trainers came onto the field to assess the injury, and he walked off under his own power.

T’Vondre Sweat is now down after the last run play. He tried to limp off then went down just short of the sideline.

— TURRON DAVENPORT (@TDavenport_NFL) September 7, 2025

In Brian Callahan’s first challenge of 2025, the refs overturned a first-down ruling. The Titans won the challenge, and the Titans held the Broncos on 4th-and-inches. The Broncos turned the ball over on downs.

Ref said the ball was 3 inches short of the first down. Broncos will go from their own 46.

The Titans’ penalty problem has carried over from 2024 in a bad way. They simply cannot afford another season like this. They’ve got to clean up the penalties.

Offensive tackle J.C. Latham left the game with a hip injury. He was replaced by Oli Udoh. His return is questionable.

Titans Injury Update:

T JC Latham has a hip injury and his return is questionable

It took until the fourth quarter, but the Broncos finally scored a touchdown. Whether it’s the elevation, lack of stamina, or simply going up against a better team, the Titans are losing again, 20-12.

And the Titans defense finally breaks. JK Dobbins bounces off a tackle and runs in for a 19-yard touchdown. Broncos lead 20-12 with 7:37 left after a four play, 80 yard drive. @NC5

— Steve Layman (@SteveLayman) September 7, 2025

The Titans got their fourth takeaway early in the fourth quarter when Marvin Mims muffed a punt return. Van Jefferson and Dorian Mausi combined to recover the muff, and the Titans took over.

#Titans with their 4th takeaway as Mims muffs punt and Mausi recovers. Huge break.

— John Glennon (@glennonsports) September 7, 2025

The Titans’ inability to refrain from committing unforced errors is crushing their efforts to win their season debut. They currently have 10 penalties for 85 yards, and the fourth quarter just started.

James Williams Sr just picked up a bad roughness penalty
Penalties hurting the @Titans

The third-and-20 play where Ward threw to Elic Ayomanor, who caught the ball, was called incomplete. If the Titans had challenged it, it might have been overturned and resulted in a first-down.

The Broncos have challenged four plays and won three against the Titans today. But on the fourth challenge, they lost a time out.

After a Tennessee interception, the Broncos managed to hold the Titans to a field goal. When they got the ball back, the Broncos managed to move the chains into field goal territory. They couldn’t reach the end zone, but they re-took the lead, 13-12.

Will Lutz from 33 yards is good.

Broncos retake lead, now 13-12 over #Titans.

Close. Tense. Exciting?

— Paul Kuharsky (@PaulKuharskyNFL) September 7, 2025

The Titans are doing everything in their power to start this season with a win. After a 10-9 halftime score, the Titans rebounded with an interception. That interception led to a Titans’ field goal, and they retook the lead, 12-10.

Slye is good from 35 for the 12-10 Titans lead

— Buck Reising (@BuckReising) September 7, 2025

Xavier Woods nabs his first interception of 2025. It marks the third Titans takeaway in this matchup and showcases Dennard Wilson’s defensive scheme. Takeaways are a feature of what Wilson wants out of his defenders.

After the Broncos scored a touchdown, Titans’ return man Chimere Dike returned the kickoff for 71 yards to the Broncos ‘ 24-yard line. With six seconds left on the clock, the Titans kicked a field goal. The half ended with the Broncos leading 10-9.

BIG 71 yard return by Chimere Dike gives Tennessee a look to steal a score before half. Slye out to kick immediately.

— Easton Freeze (@eastonfreeze) September 7, 2025

The Titans and Broncos traded field goals until the Broncos reached the end zone near the end of the first half. Bo Nix threw to Courtland Sutton for a 22-yard touchdown. The Broncos go up 10-6 with under a minute left in the first half.

After the fumble recovery, the Titans made it to the red zone with ease. Unfortunately, a sack on Cam Ward on third-and-goal led to a Titans field goal attempt. Joey Slye was successful from 33 yards, giving the Titans a 6-3 lead.

Can Ward sack on 3rd and goal brings out the FG unit.

Slye’s 33 yarder is good. 6-3 Titans lead

— AtoZ Sports Nashville (@AtoZSports) September 7, 2025

In Jeffery Simmons’ first sack of the 2025 season, Sebastian Joseph-Day was paying attention and grabbed the loose ball. Cam Ward and the offense take over in Broncos’ territory.

Sean Payton challenged another play and won. This time, Elic Ayomanor was ruled short of the line to gain. The Titans were forced to punt.

Tony Pollard fumbles the ball to start the second quarter. It’s recovered by Brandon Jones of the Broncos. Denver takes over.

#Titans‘ Pollard, who only fumbled twice last season, coughs up a turnover to end promising drive.

— John Glennon (@glennonsports) September 7, 2025

Kalel Mullings left in the first quarter after the Broncos’ kickoff when he limped off the field. Now, it is questionable whether he returns to the game with an ankle injury.

The first quarter came to a close with the Roger McCreary interception. The game is tied 3-3, but the Titans aren’t slowing down. They don’t seem to care about the elevation or the hostile environment. Let’s see how this goes through the next three quarters.

Roger McCreary has the game’s first turnover. He intercepted a pass from Bo Nix to Courtland Sutton and put the Titans’ offense back on the field.

First, Jeffery Simmons has a neutral-zone infraction. Then, Dan Moore Jr. earns a holding penalty. And now, there’s an illegal formation penalty that was declined because Ward’s pass to Elic Ayomanor was incomplete. This can’t continue.

#Titans second significant penalty, this one a hold vs. Dan Moore. Overcame the first.

— Paul Kuharsky (@PaulKuharskyNFL) September 7, 2025

After the Broncos kicked off to Chimere Dike, who returned the kick for 25 yards to the Titans’ 30-yard line, running back Kalel Mullings limped off the field. He left of his own volition, which is a good sign, but is he injured?

Kalel Mullings limped off the field after that last kick return by Chimere Dike.

— TURRON DAVENPORT (@TDavenport_NFL) September 7, 2025

After a valiant effort by the Titans’ defense, the Broncos managed to kick a field goal and tie it up. The Titans and Broncos now sit with three points each.

After a Denver challenge, the third-down conversion is overturned. Titans opt to kick a field goal. Joey Slye nails it. Titans lead 3-0.

The Titans start by receiving the kickoff. The first two plays were a run, and then a third-down conversion to keep the offense on the field.

The Tennessee Titans take the field in their 2025 season opener against the Denver Broncos. Kickoff is minutes away. The Cam Ward era has begun.

Jarvis Brownlee Jr. is ready to go and hyped up Titans fans everywhere with this clip. Entering his second year after making a statement as a rookie, the young cornerback is ready to prove that he isn’t done yet.

Skydivers parachuted down to the field at Mile High Stadium on Sunday ahead of the Broncos and Titans’ Week 1 matchup. It’s the 2025 regular-season opener, and everyone is excited and ready to go. Kickoff is in under 20 minutes.

The Titans are about to take the field at Empower Stadium at Mile High. Cam Ward has a few things to say, and it’s “all about us.”

Jeffery Simmons is a Titan, through and through. He bleeds blue and desires nothing more than for this team to be successful. Watch him hype up the Titans ahead of kickoff in Week 1.

Cam Ward is set to make his rookie debut, and he’s leading his team to the field for the first time in the NFL. In full white uniforms with navy helmets, the Titans are ready to take on the 2025 season. Cam Ward is ready to lead his team and prove that he is the change the Titans need.

The father/son duo take the field together ahead of the NFL regular season opener. The elder Callahan serves as the Titans’ offensive line coach, while the younger Callahan is the head coach. The two have a similar vision for the Titans, and in year two of Brian Callahan’s tenure, the offense should begin to come together around Cam Ward.

Wide receiver Tyler Lockett leads the Titans’ return group in prayer before warming up. It’s their first real game together as a group, and Week 1 will be a test. Chimere Dike, Julius Chestnut, and Bryce Oliver all joined.

Titans’ newly acquired kicker is taking shots to warm up ahead of the Week 1 matchup. Making kicks from over 65 yards with room to spare. But can he do it in a game?

The Titans’ cornerback has been absent for so long, we almost forget just how impactful he was when he was on the field last year. Almost. After being listed as questionable earlier this week, Sneed is fully active for this game and will start alongside Jarvis Brownlee.

Mike Borgonzi is in his first season as the Titans’ general manager, and Burk Nihill is the President of the Denver Broncos. The two were seen conversing on the field ahead of their Week 1 matchup.

Cam Ward visits with his family ahead of his rookie debut in Denver. Originally from Texas, Ward has been all over the country perfecting his craft. He paved his own way from zero-star recruit to No. 1 draft pick, and his family was a big part of that. No surprise they are in attendance today.

Previously listed as questionable, L’Jarius Sneed and Kalel Mullings are both active for today’s game. There are three rookies and five new faces to the organization who are listed as inactive for today. Four of the five new faces were added after the 53-man roster deadline. Week 1 inactives are:

CB Jalyn Armour-DavisS Kevin WinstonCB Samuel WomackOL Jackson SlaterOL Brandon Crenshaw-DicksonDL Shy TuttleDL CJ Ravenell

After we saw his fresh kicks a little while ago, Williams was signing autographs ahead of the game today. Just proves that no matter where you go, there’s always a Titans fan. #TitanUp

A few Titans’ players use the 1080 sprint machine with the help of assistant performance and speed coach John Shaw. Jarvis Brownlee Jr. begins his own pregame warm-up routine. Things are getting real in Denver, as both teams ready themselves for today’s action. Inactives will be up soon.

The Titans’ safety just signed a $48.6 million, 3-year contract extension with the organization. He’s been a top defender on the team since he was drafted in 2019. Today, he needs to prove he was worth the investment.

Titans’ linebacker James Williams had some fresh paint applied to his cleats this week. We didn’t know they were his specifically until today, but those kicks are fire. Once he gets his uniform on, Williams is going to look sharp.

While Broncos’ crew continues to practice unfurling the flag, Cam Ward continues his pregame warm-up routine. Part of that routine includes making a lap around the field, bouncing the ball between his legs. He may not play basketball as often anymore, but the former point guard still has game.

The pregame routine for #Titans QB Cam Ward…

Take a lap around the field bouncing the ball and “dribbling” between his legs.

He may be an NFL QB now, but the point guard in him is still there. pic.twitter.com/cNLWXd9sge

Not really sure what’s happening here. Cam Ward is in the end zone with a roller, getting his muscles loosened up for the game. The Broncos are doing something with the American flag in that same end zone, practicing for something maybe (?). Ward pays them no mind and continues his routine.

Cam Ward walks from the locker room to the field ahead of the Titans and Broncos’ kickoff at 3:05 p.m. CT. Ward looks relaxed, focused, and ready to take on whatever comes his way today. Confidence embodied.

Titans’ quarterback Cam Ward arrives at Mile High Stadium to prepare for his rookie debut. Ward often doesn’t have music on when his earbuds are in, preferring to live in the quiet where he can focus on the task at hand.

The Titans’ wide receivers are all healthy for today’s game against the Broncos. Calvin Ridley, Tyler Lockett, and Elic Ayomanor are still set to start. Van Jefferson, Bryce Oliver, and Chimere Dike will serve in backup roles. Dike will see time as a return man, and Oliver may as well.

Unsurprisingly, all the #Titans WRs will be active:

Ridley
Ayomanor
Lockett
Oliver
Dike
Jefferson

The Titans’ team bus arrives at Mile High Stadium ahead of the Week 1 matchup. Both teams will start preparations for the afternoon kickoff. The Titans entered through the Southwest tunnel.

Elevation warning

The Broncos give fair warning to those not from the area. Altitude sickness is real.
