A small town just minutes from San Antonio has nearly completed a sweeping fleet of upgrades to its historic country club in the Texas Hill Country, bringing a new era of luxury to the community’s legacy.

The Fair Oaks Ranch Golf and Country Club, located just south of Boerne, is inching closer to the final steps of its $2 million redesign phase, it announced Sunday, July 13.

“We can finally start to see it all coming together!,” the club said on its Facebook page.

One of the centerpieces of the redesign is The Forge, a high-end fitness center featuring smart Technogym equipment. According to the fitness company, the product line, which was the official equipment provider for the Paris 2024 Olympics, is the world’s “leading specialists” in high-end sports equipment and digital technologies.

“With cutting-edge Technogym equipment, expert coaching, and innovative recovery options, The Forge is more than a fitness center—it’s a way of life,” the club said online. “Whether you’re improving your golf game, boosting endurance, or simply embracing a healthier lifestyle, this is where transformation happens.”

The country club’s beloved golf course is also at the center of the major redesign.

Hall of Fame golfer Lanny Wadkins led the design and transformation of the club’s course bunkers.

“These upgrades have redefined the course’s playability and beauty, creating a modern, championship-caliber experience,” the club’s website reads.

The club still has several ongoing renovations, including its new dining room, a new bar and lounge, a private dining area, a golf pro shop and a cigar patio.

Recently, the country club completed renovations for 10 tennis courts and 12 pickleball courts for night and day use.

The club is expected to release an opening day for the new gym some time soon, according to the Sunday Facebook post.

The country club is private but non-members can still access the club for events like golf tournaments or other social gatherings.
