AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Texas Men’s Basketball team is ranked No. 24 in Chris Dortch’s Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook preseason top 25, the publication announced Friday. The Longhorns open the upcoming 2025-26 regular season with a neutral-site game in Charlotte, N.C., against Duke in the Dick Vitale Invitational presented by Belk on Tuesday, Nov. 4 (7:45 p.m. CT/8:45 p.m. ET on ESPN) in Spectrum Center.
Texas returns four rotational players (graduate Tramon Mark, seniors Jordan Pope and Chendall Weaver and sophomore Nic Codie) from last year’s team. Head Coach Sean Miller and his staff added five transfers (graduate Lassina Traore, juniors Camden Heide, Dailyn Swain and Simeon Wilcher and sophomore Matas Vokietaitis) and three incoming freshmen (John Clark, Declan Duru Jr. and Lewis Obiorah) to complete their first roster with the Longhorns.
