President Trump’s reaction to Carlos Alcaraz winning the 2025 U.S. Open has gone viral on social media.
The 22-year-old tennis star won his second Grand Slam tournament of 2025. Alcaraz defeated No. 1 seed Jannik Sinner in the men’s final of the U.S. Open on Sunday afternoon, in front of a soldout crowd of more than 20,000 people at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City.

President Trump, attending the event for the first time since 2015, went viral on social media for his reaction to the win.

Video of President Trump reacting to Carlos Alcaraz’s win is going viral on social media on Sunday evening.
“Trump’s reaction to Alcaraz is hilarious,” one fan wrote.
Alcaraz and Sinner were squaring off for the third straight Grand Slam final. Both players added two Grand Slam titles this year.
“I’m seeing you more than my family,” Alcaraz joked during the trophy ceremony. “It’s great to share the court, to share the locker rooms, everything.”

Sinner, who had looked as good as anyone during the 2025 U.S. Open, was simply out-matched on Sunday.
“You were better than me,” Sinner said. “I tried my best today. I couldn’t do more.”
The next Grand Slam tournament will take place in early 2026, with the Australian Open.
