A local family has signed a multi-year lease for the Voorhees Haddonfield-Berlin road golf facility… and this Saturday September 13th Voorhees Golf Land reopens the Mini Golf course, with the Chip & Putt set to open very soon (early Fall).
Originally opened in 1962 as a 50-acre multifaceted golf facility called Voorhees Golf Farm, the local community was saddened earlier this year when it was announced that the beloved “old school” family-focused golf facility would not reopen in 2025!
Local Camden County couple Robert and Diana were so “taken aback” by the news, they swung into action and signed on to be the new operators for the now 10-acre facility which today is called Voorhees Golf Land.
I spoke with Diana today who could not hold back her excitement for their new business venture… and a huge part of that is the incredible reaction they are receiving from the local community and businesses, who have flooded their social media posts, inboxes and even showed up at the doors of Golf Land “We are so happy you are doing this, how can we help, how can we be a part of what you’re doing!?”
The news of the facility reopening alone is big news for the community as it seems we are bombarded by development stories in South Jersey of car washes, dollar stores and storage facilities. So seeing the land not only remain as a natural outdoor family venue, is reason enough for everyone to celebrate.
But the story gets even better when you learn that they are just a regular local couple with a background in the golf industry, who saw the Voorhees golf facility as a great opportunity for the community and their family.
Robert and Diana immediately realized the Golf Farm was just too valuable to South Jersey to let it go to waste… and quickly they found themselves as the new operators!
For Diana this is an all new venture as she is a career nurse who will now also take on the role managing the indoor spaces and business of Voorhees Golf Land.
Her husband Robert though has made a lifelong career in the golf world and is currently the Director of Golf at the Laurel Creek Country Club in Mount Laurel. In 2017, Robert was named the Golf Professional Of The Year by the Philadelphia Section PGA.
And as you would expect Robert is focusing his Golf Land efforts on the golf course aspects… which today include the Mini Golf and Chip & Putt.
This new venture is a true family effort with their three young children also just as excited for the new business venture “Our oldest 13-year old every day asks… Mom, what can I do today at Golf Land to help get it ready?”… as he then grabs a box that needs to be put away, or a leaf blower to keep the mini golf course clean for the upcoming opening.
Which really helps define what makes Voorhees Golf Land special, a trip back to a simpler time for families with no iPads, Video Games or TikTok… fresh air, Mother Nature, fun and memories.

Mini-Golf First, Chip & Putt Soon, Fun Events to Come
Diana says they signed the lease in August and quickly got to work getting the facility prepared for a fall season.
For the most part everything was in good shape but needed a lot of cleanup, “TLC” and particularly in the case of the Chip & Putt course… reseeding and a lot of water!
The mini golf course was actually in the really good shape requiring a refresh of the landscaping, as well as some touch ups and upgrades to some of the individual holes.
As mentioned the mini golf opens this Saturday September 13th. Mini-golfers on their visit will find brand new putters at Voorhees Golf Land!
The main building of Golf Land still holds its old-school rustic charm but since the short closing it had also been used for storage in the main lower level, which took a considerable effort to move all of the extra items out of the way.
Today the interior of the building is “spic and span” and ready for mini golfers this weekend!
Likely one of the most unique aspects of the Voorhees Golf Land is the par three Chip & Putt course.
If you’re unfamiliar what a “Chip & Putt” course is, it’s much closer to a true golf experience but without the long fairways. You’ll never use a driver, and at the starting tee you will use an iron club to gently loft your ball up towards the green (a chip shot). Once on the green you finally putt the ball in!. Chip & Putt!
Diana says that overall the Chip & Putt course is in great shape also, but it needed some reseeding and watering to bring it back up to shape for regular customer usage.
They have not locked in a date for opening of the Chip & Putt but there is confidence it’s a few weeks away. Follow along with their Facebook page or Instagram for more details!
Diana is also excited to bring interesting and fun family events to the course, with ideas for Halloween and Christmas… “Our main building is perfect for Santa’s Workshop”
And on Facebook they even commented they’ll soon be working on the 2nd floor to make that available as an event space.
The family wants to keep focused on the golf aspects but they will be offering a snack bar… And have also partnered with other area businesses who are more experts in food.
Voorhees Golf Land will be serving Collingswood’s Revolution Coffee, and they we’re also working with Lashaun at Girl With A Grill who has a Voorhees Hot Dog’s and more restaurant for event catering and more.
The family has really made great progress on getting the facility ready for the opening but there is still a lot of ideas, partnerships and fun to be announced… so follow along on Social Media for the latest!
I’ll see ya this weekend at Voorhees Golf Land. FOOOOOORRRREEEEE!
