Manchester United have just over a month left to complete their transfer business for the summer.
United have made one new signing so far this summer with Matheus Cunha arriving back in June after the club activated the £62.5million release clause in his contract at Wolves. Since then, though, the club are yet to make any further additions to the squad at Ruben Amorim’s disposal.
Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo remains a target for United despite two bids being rejected earlier in the window. There also continue to be reports claiming that they will look to sign a striker this summer, which if completed would automatically lead to further speculation about Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund’s futures.

Ollie Watkins stance
United have been handed an update over their reported interest in signing Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins.
Give Me Sport has claimed that Watkins is “open” to the idea of signing for United as he waits to discover if the Reds will make an offer to Villa.
The report claims that Watkins has been identified by United as a potential transfer target this summer as they look to bring a new centre forward option.
MEN Sport says: This is not the first time that United have been linked with signing Watkins, and it’s a deal that certainly makes sense. United need a striker and Watkins has plenty of proven Premier League experience under his belt. Definitely a deal worth considering if the fee is reasonable.
Corentin Tolisso wanted
United are being linked with a move for Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso.
French news outlet L’Equipe have reported that United have made an approach to Tolisso’s representatives with a view to bringing the midfielder to Old Trafford.
It has been claimed that Lyon are determined to keep Tolisso at the club, even though the player himself is mentioned as having an interest in signing for United this summer.
MEN Sport says: United have been linked with signing a new midfielder for the last 12 months, even though the club brought Manuel Ugarte to Manchester nearly 12 months ago. Tolisso has plenty of experience at elite level and would be a valuable addition to the United midfield if a deal can be agreed.
