RIGGINS — Riggins Fiddlers are practicing for another season of monthly fiddle programs. Do you play guitar, mandolin, ukulele, fiddle or banjo? Practices are on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. at the Salmon River Community Church Fellowship Room. Bring your instrument and join in the fun… open to all ages. The Fiddlers perform once a month on a Tuesday evening, 7-8 p.m., for a free program for everyone to attend. For information, contact Ann Cook.
Mike Medley is holding his first annual Bass to Mouth fish fry at 5:30 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Killgore Adventure Stage with a live performance by Jesse James and the Mob beginning at 6:30 p.m. Bass tacos are free while they last. Also serving burgers and coleslaw and 100% beef Nathan dogs and coleslaw. Everyone is welcome.

Welcome to “Fall at the Schwab House” adjacent to The Riggins Assembly of God Church next Saturday, Sept. 20, at 6:30 p.m. for a free paint and pamper party. There will be a fall-themed snack bar, a painting activity and three Mary Kay representatives to give ladies some pampering. All ladies are invited to attend. RSVP to Sierra Bovey or Jordan Schwab so they know the number of items there are available.
The Salmon River School Booster Membership Drive is underway with three options: MVP is $100, Gold is $50-$99, and Blue is $25-$49. The Booster Club also runs the concession stand for home ball games. Volunteers are always welcome. · Rapid River Hatchery, located at the base of the Seven Devils Mountain at Riggins, has an annual production of three million salmon, which makes it the largest collection, spawning and rearing facility in Idaho. Take a drive out to check it out.
· A celebration of life for Dan Catherman will be next Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Salmon River multipurpose room, 1-4 p.m. Those who would like may bring finger foods for a time of fellowship following the service. Dan was a well-loved man.
· The 2025 Riggins Christmas Bazaar is coming up faster than you think; it will take place in two months. October will be the opening of signing up vendors; new vendors are encouraged to join. Priority will go to previous vendors. More information in the Oct. 1 issue.
