The draw for the 2025 Davis Cup Finals in Bologna has now been released…

Spain were a point away from a Davis Cup exit against Denmark at the weekend, but fought back to book their spot in the final eight.

World number one Carlos Alcaraz didn’t join his Spanish teammates in Marbella, but is expected to make the trip to Bologna for the Davis Cup Finals.

There, he could meet his biggest rival, Jannik Sinner, who will represent Italy, the two-time defending champions.

With the draw released, fans now know when Sinner and Alcaraz could potentially meet at the Davis Cup Finals.

Spain and Italy have been placed in opposite halves of the Davis Cup draw, meaning they can only meet in the final.

The prospect of the world number one and two facing off with the title on the line will no doubt excite fans, who are eagerly anticipating the 16th installment of their thrilling rivalry.

It’s fair to say Alcaraz has had the better of Sinner over recent times, winning seven of their previous eight meetings, including two victories in Grand Slam finals.

The Spaniard was particularly dominant at the US Open earlier this month, when he produced a clinical display to clinch his second title at Flushing Meadows.

They are yet to play one another at the Davis Cup, however, an event at which Sinner has excelled since 2023.

Unbeaten at the event over the past 24 months, Sinner has led Italy to back-to-back titles.

Roared on by his home Bologna crowd, Sinner will no doubt be determined to pick up a rare win over Alcaraz should their respective teams both reach the final.

Neither player will want to get too far ahead of themselves, however, and will be more aware of the challenges that await them en route to a potential final.

Italy will begin their campaign against Austria, while Spain take on Czechia, who defeated the United States in the second qualifying round.

Those three nations: Italy, Spain, and Czechia will likely be considered pre-tournament favorites, although that’s not to say the other five teams can’t spring a surprise or two.

Only time will tell who will emerge victorious in Bologna, but you certainly won’t want to miss any of the action when the tournament begins in November.
