Chase Elliott – Chase Elliott had a rocket this spring at Kansas and ranked among the best but he finished an asterisk mark 15th. In the race, Elliott finished 2nd in Stage #1, finished 2nd in Stage #2, led 29 laps but then in the last Stage around lap 195, Elliott had a slow pit stop that dropped him from 1st to 12th, and he just wasn’t the same back in traffic and never bounced back. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Elliott ranked 6th with his speed over the segments being 6th, 3rd, 1st and then 15th.

Brad Keselowski – Brad Keselowski was strong this spring at Kansas but finished an asterisk mark 37th. In the race, Keselowski started 36th, finished about 15th in Stage #1, finished 6th in Stage #2 but then in the last Stage on lap 195 while running in 2nd, the #6 had a tire go down and Keselowski slammed into the wall hard. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Keselowski ranked 10th with his speed over the segments he competed being 20th, 10th and then 2nd.

Denny Hamlin – This spring at Kansas, Denny Hamlin was a top five performer who might’ve just been a factor to win but he finished an asterisk mark 36th after having major clutch issues for much of the race that eventually did him in. In the last Stage during the Keselowski caution around lap 195 while running in 4th, Hamlin’s clutch completely went out and it marked the end of his race. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Hamlin ranked 4th with his speed over the segments being 13th, 1st and then 3rd.

Bubba Wallace – This spring, Bubba Wallace looked like a top ten contender early, but multiple problems led to his 33rd. In the race, Wallace was running in 7th on lap 30 but then shortly after that during a green flag pit cycle he got an equipment interference penalty which was a huge setback, and he never recovered from it. Then in the last Stage while he was running around 20th, he crashed.
