The Nicki Minaj and SZA feud has officially reached nuclear levels.
Just days after SZA publicly accused Nicki Minaj of pretending not to know who she is and claimed Nicki had previously requested collaborations twice Minaj has now unleashed an unfiltered volcanic response that drags not just SZA but throws in Beyoncé Drake and even her longtime friend and collaborator Gee Roberson for good measure.
In a long chaotic tirade posted today night to her fan platform Minaj responded to SZA’s subtle shade with explicit allegations industry tea and a ruthless dismantling of SZA’s public persona.
Nicki Claims She Rejected “Rich Baby Daddy” Collaboration
Minaj began by revealing she had turned down the opportunity to appear on “Rich Baby Daddy” the hit collaboration between Drake and Sexyy Red where SZA was originally rumored to be considered for a remix.
“I wonder if she know I turned down being on the ‘shake dat ass for drake’ song” Nicki tweeted. “He wanted me & Sexy on it. I still have the version of just Drake & Sexy.”
Minaj claimed that although Drake had pitched the song to her she chose to decline in order to preserve the artistic integrity of her upcoming album Pink Friday 2.
“I said I want to wait for PF2 for me & him to do a Dricki song so it felt more special” she explained. “And now that silly goose still out here shaking dat ass for Drake every day. After swallowing his balls. Allegedly.”
The graphic allegation although marked as alleged sent social media into a frenzy with #Dricki trending within minutes on X formerly Twitter.
Accusations Against SZA “Give It Up Mza”
Minaj didn’t stop at the Drake drama. She zeroed in on SZA’s recent interviews and online comments where the SOSsinger alluded to having writing credits or behind the scenes involvement with Beyoncé.
“Oh Mza give it up” Minaj snapped. “This woman has been trying to tell the world she wrote for Beyoncé every other other business day it would appear.”
Nicki details the creative process behind a mysterious Beyoncé song seemingly referencing “Feeling Myself” their 2015 collaboration claiming neither she nor Beyoncé wanted to sing a particular lyric.
“I remember me & Beyoncé was going back & forth on the phone about that part of the song. Bey was like you sing it I was like NOOOOO you sing it she was like noooooo you sing it I was like PLEASE!!!!! I can’t sing”
“Y’all why Bey said with a straight face ‘yes you can’ in that calm Texas drawl.”
According to Minaj Beyoncé’s vocals were already on the track when she received it from their mutual associate Gee Roberson. Minaj claims Beyoncé eventually added her own harmonies beneath Nicki’s re recorded version of the infamous line “Cooking up the bass looking like a kilo.”
“Took the B***h Two Days to Be Coached”
Toward the end of the message Minaj took aim at unnamed “industry girls” who she says lack originality and spontaneity thinly veiled shots that many believe were meant for SZA once again.
“Took the bh two days to be coached on what to say & do next. These bhes have no identity can’t think off the top of their heads if you paid them to.”
This final blow all but confirmed that the gloves are off and Minaj is not backing down.
The Backstory Where This Feud Began
This blowout follows a simmering tension that boiled over after Nicki Minaj seemingly shaded SZA during an Apple Music interview earlier this month. SZA responded on X stating:
“Nicki . You absolutely know my music and what I contribute cause you’ve asked for features twice to no response . In addition to rapping my lyrics on feeling myself “Cooking up the bass looking like a kilo”? Lol ur having a moment ..im not sure why but be blessed.”
She also posted a screenshot of what appeared to be text messages between the two artists.
That response sparked a wave of support for SZA from fans of both artists until Minaj’s latest outburst upended the narrative.
