Trackhouse Racing announced on Tuesday that Randall Burnett will join the organization in 2026 to serve as crew chief for Connor Zilisch.

Zilisch will be a NASCAR Cup Series rookie next year. Burnett, a veteran in the garage, will take the post after working with Kyle Busch at Richard Childress Racing for the last three seasons. He was paired with Tyler Reddick on the No. 8 team at Childress before Busch took over the ride.

Burnett has won six Cup Series races as a crew chief. Reddick and Busch are the two drivers he’s won with. Prior to those partnerships, Burnett spent the 2016 season working with AJ Allmendinger at JTG Daugherty Racing.

Zilisch and Burnett will be teammates with Ross Chastain and the No. 1 team, as well as Shane van Gisbergen and the No. 88 team. WeatherTech and Red Bull will anchor Zilisch’s program, and Burnett is the next biggest piece to be announced. But there are still other details, such as the car number, that Trackhouse Racing has not revealed.
