Manchester United have struck a deal to sign exciting midfield talent Cristian Orozco, as the club plan for the future.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe is on record stating that Manchester United must sign the next future superstars, instead of waiting until it is too late.
Manchester United’s latest move to snap up Colombia under-17s captain Cristian Orozco is the perfect case in point.
United have agreed to sign the Fortaleza teenager, with the move becoming official when he turns 18 next July.
Cristian Orozco has major talent
Cristian Orozco’s coaches at former club Rojo FC have been discussing his transfer to Manchester United, and his development.
Alvaro Escobar told El Colombiano: “He has a positive leadership style that has allowed him to be captain of the Colombian national team.
“He expresses himself well and is receptive, he doesn’t get upset when corrected, it’s a pleasure to coach him.
“I was very happy when I found out he could go to Manchester United.”
Campo Elias Santacruz explained that he was blown away by the maturity a young Orozco already shows on the pitch.
He explained: “Despite being so young, he always showed leadership in practice.
“He trained hard and, on and off the field, acted like a young man with experience. His teammates helped him grow, and today we can say he’s a great human being.”

For a club that once had a partner club in Brazil, Manchester United have been poor at making signings from South America over the past 15 years.
Now with Ineos at the helm, the club are making a concerted effort to explore the market more for young talents.
This past summer Manchester United secured a deal for Paraguayan talent Diego Leon, who clinched his move once he turned 18.
Leon featured in pre-season and is currently adjusting to the under-21s, hoping to one day make the first team.
There is no guarantee Leon or Orozco are successes, but the more shots United take, the better chance one of them pays off.
