Georgia volleyball fell 13-25, 13-25 and 12-25 in three sets against third-ranked Kentucky at Historic Memorial Coliseum in Lexington, Kentucky, on Friday. It was the Bulldogs’ second SEC match, and they are now 0-2 in conference play.

The lead only changed once throughout all three sets — after Georgia earned the first point in the opening set. The Bulldogs are now 8-4 for the season, with a two-game losing streak after facing back-to-back ranked SEC opponents after No. 22 Tennessee on Wednesday.

Junior Bianna Muoneke posted a team-high six kills, while junior Tori Harper and sophomore MK Patten each had four kills. The team had a total of 20 kills on the night, compared to Kentucky’s 42.

Sophomore Makena Lim recorded seven digs on defense and delivered one ace, the only one of the night for Georgia.

Georgia committed 22 errors for the night, the second-most of the season. The Bulldogs’ overall record against Kentucky is 26-55, with the most recent win for the Bulldogs in 2019 in Lexington.

The Wildcats hit .368 for the match and junior Lizzie Carr delivered 13 kills against the Bulldogs, driving the team to victory.

Kentucky is now 9-2 for the season, riding a five-game win streak and keeping a perfect conference slate so far. Georgia returns to Stegeman Coliseum on Wednesday to face No. 2 Texas.
