Iga Swiatek bludgeoned her way to the Wimbledon title on Saturday, dropping only two games in her final two rounds.
The 24-year-old has now won six Grand Slams following a 6-0 6-0 thrashing of Amanda Anisimova in the Wimbledon final.
Swiatek, who was compared to Serena Williams following her victory, won the title seven years after her victory at junior Wimbledon.
However, the Pole still has a long way to go if she is to catch the likes of Serena and Roger Federer, who sit at the pinnacle of the sport.

Swiatek was recently told that she should copy one of these greats to continue her successes on the WTA Tour.
Artur Szostaczko says Iga Swiatek must prioritise titles over ranking, like Novak Djokovic
Artur Szostaczko, Iga Swiatek’s former coach who mentored her for five years until she was 10 years old, discussed the importance of trophies and rankings on polsatsport, while also comparing her to Novak Djokovic.
Szostaczko said: “I’m just wondering if the most important thing for Iga is to be the world’s number one. Perhaps winning trophies like the Australian Open, that she doesn’t have, will gain a higher priority.
“Novak Djokovic was not always the leader of the ATP Rankings, but in Grand Slams won. For him, the titles were the most important.

“Therefore, for Iga, this approach would be the best – focusing on trophies, not on rankings. The ranking will improve with the collected titles. It is important that Iga has already climbed to third place, which means that she will play Sabalenka or Coco Gauff only in the semi-finals.
“The most important thing, however, is a good game, not worrying about who she will play or when. Wimbledon showed that this year, in the first two rounds, the most players in the history fell out. But that wasn’t Iga’s problem. She won deservedly, let’s rejoice in it, let’s get a lot of joy and keep our fingers crossed that Iga is healthy, so that she avoids injuries.
“We all saw what happened to Dimitrov. He led in sets 2-0, but unfortunately, he suffered an injury and so the dreams of conquering Wimbledon ended. We have an example of Hubert Hurkacz, who has actually been struggling with injuries for a year.”
Iga Swiatek led her peers in break-point conversion at Wimbledon
There can be no denying that Iga Swiatek performed close to her best at this year’s Wimbledon Championships. The Pole was simply unstoppable in the latter rounds, giving her opponents little room to breathe.
The statistics back up this sentiment. Iga Swiatek converted the most break points of any player during the Wimbledon 2025 Ladies Singles tournament.
Swiatek will surely be favourite for the Ladies Singles title at the US Open, despite her ranking of number three in the world. There is simply no one better than her on the WTA Tour when she is on form.
The Pole will find out her route to glory at the US Open later this year. The tournament will run from August 24 to September 7.
