KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Law enforcement stated Friday morning that officers were responding to Kansas City’s 90th homicide of the year.
The Kansas City Police Department reported that a shooting took place near Penn Valley Park on Friday morning, and three people were injured.
Officers learned that the victims were driven to the Crossroads and near the area of 19th and Walnut streets, and witnesses called 911.
From there, EMS took the three victims to hospitals. One man died from his injuries, and a teen and another man suffered non-life-threatening injuries, KCPS stated.

Officers confirmed that four people from the Penn Valley Park area were taken into custody for questioning.
KCPD also stated that no gun violence took place in the Crossroads.
