You can still feel the love on “Reba.”
On Sept. 27, Melissa Peterman, who played dim-witted Barbra Jean on the WB sitcom, shared photos of her with her castmates on Instagram.
“Dinner with friends is always good. Dinner with these friends is everything,” she captioned a series of pictures with her, Reba McEntire, JoAnna Garcia Swisher and Christopher Rich, along with McEntire’s fiancé, Rex Linn, and Rich’s wife, Eva Halina Rich.
Peterman added the hashtag #familyforever, along with a red heart emoji.
“Goodness, i love you all so much,” Garcia Swisher wrote in the comments alongside a heart emoji.
“Reba” aired for six seasons from 2001 until 2007, beginning its run on The WB before airing on The CW for its final year.

The show featured McEntire in the title role as a woman left to pick up the pieces after her husband, Brock (Rich), leaves her for his dental hygienist (Peterman). Garcia Swisher played Cheyenne, Reba and Brock’s daughter. The show also starred Steve Howey as Cheyenne’s boyfriend and Scarlett Pomers and Mitch Holleman as Brock and Reba’s other kids.

McEntire has not strayed too far from her “Reba” family. She and Peterman co-star on NBC’s “Happy’s Place,” which also features Linn. Rich and Howey have also stopped by the sitcom in guest roles.
Peterman and McEntire have also teamed up in “Working Class,” “The Hammer” and “Baby Daddy.”
“Happy’s Place” also features some people off-camera who worked on “Reba,” but fans should not consider the two shows to be related to each other.
“Because this is the showrunner, the producers, everybody from the ‘Reba’ show is on this show,” McEntire told TODAY.com in October 2024 while explaining why a “Reba” reboot wasn’t in the works. “I think it was a really good idea that we didn’t try to do a remake, even though I miss all the other characters and the cast of the ‘Reba’ show.”
Peterman, Howey and Garcia Swisher also took in McEntire’s concert at the Hollywood Bowl in 2023.
