Boehringer Ingelheim launches vaccine against porcine circovirus type 2 in the US

Launching now in the US, Ingelvac Circoflex AD is the first vaccine to combine both PCV2a and PCV2d antigens in a single dose designed for optimised herd health. Built on the vaccine Ingelvac Circoflex from Boehringer Ingelheim, this new dual-antigen approach offers producers an additional option to protect their pigs and support long-term profitability.

DSM-Firmenich opens animal nutrition and health plant in India DSM-Firmenich Animal Nutrition & Health has inaugurated a new feed additive plant in Jadcherla, Hyderabad, India. The new facility, equipped with Bühler technology, features a manufacturing line for solutions in mycotoxin risk management (Mycofix Secure and Mycofix Shield) and a new 11,200 sqm warehouse. The plant is built adjacent to the company’s Jadcherla premix plant, which has been operating since 2018. Together, the 2 facilities form an integrated ‘Super Site’, enabling greater efficiency and faster service for customers. The local manufacturing of. ePhyt granted EU authorisation

The 3-phytase product ePhyt has been granted new EU authorisation. The main reason for applying for a new authorisation was a change in the production strain. The holder of the authorisation is Fertinagro Biotech. This product is authorised for use in the EU in chickens, turkeys and pigs for fattening. Both liquid and solid forms of the additive are available. 

Hendrix Genetics launches Nexus 100

At SPACE 2025, Hendrix Genetics launched Nexus 100, the first product under its new Nexus brand in the swine division. The product combines genetics from Hypor and Danish Genetics to deliver a profile focusing on survivability rather than just maximising litter size.

Intradco Global completes live animal air transport of 1,200 breeding pigs 

Equine and animal transport specialists Intradco Global has completed the successful air shipment of 1,200 breeding pigs from Denmark to the Philippines. A full charter of a B747-400F freighter was used for this shipment. The pigs are to be used for breeding and genetic multiplication, with the animals destined for the end-client’s farm in the Philippines. 

DSM-Firmenich and FarmTrace simplify farm-level sustainability tracking

DSM-Firmenich Animal Nutrition & Health and FarmTrace, a global farm connection & analytics platform, have partnered to enable direct integration of environmental footprinting solution Sustell with the FarmTrace platform, significantly simplifying the collection and processing of farm-level data.

PigTek offers new anchor bearing for Flex-Auger system

PigTek has updated its Flex-Auger Feed Delivery Systems with a new anchor bearing that’s made in the US and designed for maximum reliability. Compatible with Chore-Time Model 75 and Model 75 Plus Flex-Auger Systems, the bearing also includes an updated clamp pin that enhances auger-to-anchor bearing attachment. 

De Heus opens new animal feed factory in Punjab, India

De Heus India, part of De Heus Animal Nutrition, has opened a new animal feed factory in Rajpura, Punjab. The factory, built with an investment of about US$17 million, is one of the largest and most advanced in India, carrying an installed capacity of 180 kMT with the potential to expand to 240 kMT. The factory has separate production lines for cattle, buffalo, poultry, and pig feed.

ADM and Alltech enter into North American animal feed joint venture

ADM and Alltech have signed an agreement to launch a North American animal feed joint venture. Alltech will contribute its US-based Hubbard Feeds and Canada-based Masterfeeds businesses, including 18 feed mills in the US and 15 in Canada, and ADM will contribute its 11 US feed mills. The joint venture will be majority-owned by Alltech and governed by a board with equal representation from each parent company. The companies expect to complete the transaction and formally launch the joint venture in the first quarter of 2026.

Agrifirm Hungary is now part of UBM Group, an agricultural group specialising in crop trading, compound feed production, and the supply of high-quality feed ingredients in Hungary.

VIV Select China moves from Nanjing to Shanghai

In Nanjing at the 17th edition of VIV Select China, the annual international trade fair for the poultry and livestock farming sector, Royal Jaarbeurs announced that the fair will be held in Shanghai starting in 2026. The next edition of VIV Select China is scheduled for 19-21 August 2026 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.
