Staurday, Oct. 4 kicks off Week 5 of the NCAA football season. In the CAA, action is at an all-time high on the D1 FCS level. 

Elon heads to Towson for Week 5 action with kickoff set for Oct. 4. On Towson’s family weekend game, the stakes are high to defend the home field at Johnny Unitas Stadium. 

The Elon Phoenix are the visitors in this Week 5 matchup. After defending the home field on Sept. 27 to open CAA play, Elon looks to keep its winning ways alive. In the 41-20 victory over Hampton, the Phoenix tallied 457 yards of offense. 

Quarterback Landen Clark was 10-for-23 on pass completion with 169 yards and one touchdown toss. TJ Thomas Jr. was one of the leading rushers for the Phoenix with 67 yards on 10 carries with two touchdowns. 

Towson will be the home team in the contest. After picking up a hard-fought road win over Bryant on Sept. 27, the Tigers will hope to extend their winning streak. In the 26-24 victory, Towson tallied 304 yards of offense. 

Quarterback Andrew Indorf was 17-for-31 on pass completion with 153 yards and one touchdown pass. Al Wooten II was the leading rusher for the Tigers. Wooten II tallied 100 yards on 26 carries with one touchdown.
