It ended up being a quarterback duel of sorts between the 49ers’ Mac Jones and Rams’ Matthew Stafford.
Jones was 33-for-49 for 342 yards and two touchdowns while Stafford completed 30-of-47 passes for 389 yards and three touchdowns.
Kendrick Bourne was a revelation for the 49ers tonight with 10 catches for 142 yards. While Christian McCaffrey (139 total yards, one receiving TD) and Jake Tonges (seven catches for 41 yards) had the touchdown catches, Bourne kept the chains moving.
Both Davante Adams (five catches, 88 yards) and Puka Nacua (10 catches, 85 yards, one TD) made their presence felt in the second half. Rams LB Nathan Landman was everywhere tonight, too, with 14 total tackles, one TFL and three pass breakups.
The 49ers’ defense gets the biggest nod, though, for the stop in overtime to win the game.
