law enforcement investigating, students dismissing early
HANNIBAL–District officials moved quickly to get the word out about an anonymous bomb threat that came into the high school via fax.
Here is what they sent to parents:
Dear HHS Families,
Thank you for your patience during this situation. Out of an abundance of caution, all HHS students have been safely relocated to the Hannibal Middle School campus.
To ensure student safety while this matter is investigated, we have made the decision to dismiss students early today at 12:30 p.m. This is for HHS Students Only.
Dismissal Details:
Bus Riders: Buses will pick up students at 12:30 p.m. from HMS.
Car Riders: Please pick up students at the HMS circle drive in the front of the building. You will need to present your ID to pick up your student.
Student Drivers: If your student normally drives, they will be dismissed at 11:40. If their keys are at HHS, they will need to be picked up.
STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO COLLECT ANYTHING FROM HHS until the building is cleared by law enforcement. We will provide updates on the investigation as soon as we are able.
Thank you for your cooperation and continued support.
