The Chicago Sky won’t be competing in the 2025 WNBA Finals, but Angel Reese has managed to steal a few headlines before Game 1 on Friday.
Reese had another All-Star season for the Sky, averaging 14.7 points and 12.6 rebounds per game. Her second year in Chicago ended with some controversy though. That’s because she admit that she was frustrated with her supporting cast.

“I’m not settling for the same s–t we did this year,” Reese told the Chicago Tribune. “We have to get good players. We have to get great players. That’s a nonnegotiable for me. I’m willing and wanting to play with the best. And however I can help to get the best here, that’s what I’m going to do this offseason to make sure we attract the best of the best, because we can’t settle for what we have this year.”
The Sky later disciplined Reese by suspending her for the first half of a game against the Las Vegas Aces.

While it’s unclear what the future has in store for Reese, she seems unbothered at the moment.

On Thursday night, Reese posted a few swimsuit photos on social media. Her post racked up over one million views in just 14 hours.
“Minding my own business,” Reese wrote on X. “Don’t check for me.”
Reese is a former SI Swimsuit model.
Back in 2023, Reese posed for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. Although it was an unusual experience for the LSU product, she embraced it with open arms.
“I had on thong bathing suits and I didn’t think I was going to be comfortable, but [everyone] made me feel really comfortable,” Reese said. “I work out a lot. I embrace my body and who I am and every mark on my body. I probably feel the sexiest in a bathing suit.”

Judging by the responses to Reese’s social media post this week, her fans would love to see her return for a future issue of SI Swimsuit.
