Digital Goa, October 5, 2025 – The Government of India’s Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers’ Rights Authority (PPV&FRA) has invited proposals for funding support from the National Gene Fund to promote the conservation of plant genetic resources. The funding will cover two key areas — in-situ and ex-situ conservation of plant genetic resources, and strengthening the capacity of panchayats in carrying out such conservation and sustainable practices.
