When bringing up the Milwaukee Brewers‘ postseason chances, a logical argument against them is that they don’t hit enough home runs.
Making contact and playing small-ball helped the Brewers win a franchise-record 98 games, but more than a few big flies are often needed in October.

In Game 2 of the National League Division Series against the Chicago Cubs, the home team showed no power shortage.
Down 3-0 in the first inning, the Brewers hit three home runs in the first four innings for seven runs overall during their 7-3 victory, taking a 2-0 series lead.
Two of the home runs were of the three-run variety. Andrew Vaughn’s blast with two men on in the bottom of the first inning off of Shota Imanaga tied the game at 3-3, and William Contreras followed with a solo blast in the third inning to give the Brewers a 4-3 lead.
In the fourth inning, outfielder Jackson Chourio, who was a game-time decision due to a tight hamstring, turned around a 101-mph fastball from Chicago’s Danny Palencia for another three-run shot to give the Brewers a significant advantage. All three round-trippers were hit with two outs.
