Have you ever heard a little rumor that Channing Tatum used to live with Bravo star Jax Taylor? Apparently, neither has he. On Monday, Tatum appeared on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy and was asked by Andy Cohen if there was any truth to the years-long claim Taylor has made that the two former models were roommates.
“Channing, since I have you, I need to ask you an unsolved mystery that I’ve wanted to ask you for many years,” Cohen said. “Your name has come up several times on a little broadcast television show called Vanderpump Rules. Now, were you the roommate of someone called Jax on Vanderpump Rules?” At first, Tatum looked incredibly confused and said “absolutely not,” denying the allegations.
While he later softened his tone and said “I don’t think so,” Tatum still denied knowing Taylor after seeing a photo of him. “All models look the same kind of, so he is a good-looking guy,” he said. “If he was repped by Jason Kanner, then I probably would’ve met him, but I don’t think I ever roomed with him.” There’s that!
Taylor first spoke of this bizarre rumor while on Watch What Happens Live! in 2013, and recently repeated it during an interview with Rolling Stone in May 2023. He said their time as roomies was around 2002, and explained that “agencies had apartments for models that were coming into town,” he said, adding that “Channing was one of six guys in our room.”
According to Taylor, Tatum “got famous real quick” and “took off” after appearing in a Mountain Dew commercial. At least he’s telling the truth about that.
