Another chaotic Saturday of college football brought the drama fans live for. Two preseason giants took brutal tumbles as James Franklin’s Penn State fell to previously winless UCLA, and Arch Manning’s Texas couldn’t survive The Swamp against a 1-3 Florida squad. The shake-up is real, and ESPN’s latest rankings prove that no one’s spot is safe this season. Their list ranks based on a Football Power Index (FPI) that measures each team’s true strength on a net points scale calculated with expected point margin against average opponent on a neutral field.
