Channing Tatum discussed his relationship with daughter Everly on Thursday’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show.
While promoting his new film Roofman, the 45-year-old actor took a moment to share an anecdote about the 12-year-old child he shares with ex-wife Jenna Dewan.Â
He said he’s noticed a change in Everly as she prepares to enter her teenage years.
Referencing host Drew’s daughters Olive, 13, and Frankie, 11, he said, ‘I don’t know when yours started changing or if [they started changing], but it’s just happening for me.’Â
He said about the pre-teen, ‘She was always like, you know, pretty opinionated, very strong-willed, but now it’s just on a whole different level.’
‘I got yelled at in an escape room yesterday. Like, she’s never yelled at me before,’ the father-of-one shared.

He continued, ‘All I did I was like, [say] “I wonder what…” [and] she’s like, “Dad, don’t touch that!”‘
The A-lister added, ‘And I’m like, whoa, what was that? We’re both trying to solve this problem and now I feel like we have to go to therapy because of that moment.’
He said about Everly: ‘Like, that was not you. Her eyes changed. Like, they just went shark black or something. It was crazy.’
It comes after Channing stopped by The Kelly Clarkson Show this week and made comments about his daughter.
He explained that juggling his career with fatherhood is an ongoing ‘negotiation.’
‘It’s a balance and it’s a constant negotiation,’ the leading man told host Kelly.
‘I actually just had a conversation with my daughter on the way to school like two days ago because I’m trying to make some decisions on a movie to go do next year that’s going to be in Australia and I won’t get to see her for like almost two months,’ he shared.
And the actor, who is dating 26-year-old model Inka Williams, pointed out, ‘I’ve never really done that other than on Roofman. It was a conversation then as well because it was in North Carolina.’

Everly accompanied her father on the red carpet at the English Dub premiere of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle in September.
Following the glitzy event, he took to Instagram to share photos with his 17.3 million followers.
The proud dad gushed, ‘Walking the #DemonSlayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle carpet with Evie by my side was honestly a dream come true.Â
‘She’s been my anime inspiration from the start, and sharing this moment with her made my first time voicing Keizo extra special.’
He finished the caption, ‘Having a project we both love in theaters now just feels unreal. [My] heart is full and fanboy levels are off the charts!’
