Rumor Suggests Bill Belichick Has Changed His Decision On Docuseries originally appeared on The Spun.

Earlier this offseason there was quite a bit of controversy over Bill Belichick and the North Carolina college football team scraping plans for a Hard Knocks show, which was allegedly at the behest of Belichick’s young girlfriend Jordon Hudson.

But it looks as though Belichick managed to get his show after all.

According to Front Office Sports reporter Ryan Glasspiegel, a North Carolina football docuseries has been greenlit and will be broadcast on Hulu. Per the report, the docuseries finally got finalized right before the deadline to get it done.

“Glass Break: the Bill Belichick – UNC football docuseries lives on at Hulu after the concept of Hard Knocks: Offseason doc fell through at the 11th hour,” Glasspiegel wrote on X.

It’s important to note that a deal between Hulu and North Carolina has not been officially agreed to at this time.

Some fans apparently forgot that Hudson was allegedly behind the “Hard Knocks” series being canceled in the first place and have jokingly said that she must be the one in control here:

“She’s the dominant one in this one,” one user declared.

“Read: Hulu gave Jordon Hudson final edit,” wrote another.

“Directed by: Jordon Hudson. Written by: Jordon Hudson,” a third wrote.

The rumored decision also somewhat flies in the face of what Belichick himself said just a few months ago. He went on Ryan Clark’s The Pivot podcast just a few months ago and asserted that a show like NFL Films’ Hard Knocks “just didn’t fit” his program.

“Hard Knocks is training camp, and we’re not training camp. We’re just not,” Belichick said. “That’s not what we are. The drama of training camp, who’s a cut and all that. Like, we’re a season, and they don’t want that. Yeah, there are film issues too, but forget about the film issues. Just say you could straighten all those out, Hard Knocks just didn’t fit for us.”

Only time will tell if Belichick’s stance has truly changed. If this show happens, fans would get some a deeper look into what Belichick has been building in Chapel Hill.

For most fans though, it’s far more important to see what they do under the bright lights than behind the scenes.
