This and that: The Blazers opened the exhibition season with a 129-123 loss at the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night. But they were impressive in defeat, especially on offense. The Blazers scored 39 points in the first quarter, 73 points in the first half, and built a 97-78 lead heading into the fourth quarter. … Coach Chauncey Billups did not play any of his key rotation players in the fourth, however, and the Warriors’ backups torched the Blazers’ end-of-bench unit, 51-26. … Shaedon Sharpe finished with 22 points, six rebounds and two assists, Deni Avdija recorded 14 points, eight rebounds and three assists and Toumani Camara added 14 points, four rebounds, three assists and two blocks in the loss. … The Kings also lost their exhibition opener Friday night, falling 130-122 to the Toronto Raptors in Sacramento. The Kings were outscored 44-33 in the fourth quarter. … Domantas Sabonis finished with 19 points and four rebounds and Zach Lavine added 16 points in the loss. … Blazers wing Kris Murray will face his twin brother, Kings forward Keegan Murray, in tonight’s game. Kris Murray had 12 points and four rebounds, while making 4 of 5 shots, against Golden State. The brothers played two seasons together in college at the University of Iowa. … Jrue Holiday, Sharpe, Jerami Grant, Camara and Donovan Clingan started the opener for the Blazers. But Billups said earlier in the week that he likely will feature a different starting lineup every game in the preseason, so expect a different opening unit versus the Kings.
