October is here for the Tennessee Volunteers and GoVols247 is bringing back one of our staple features for each and every game: Our bold predictions. The premise is simple: Our staff picks some things we think will happen in the upcoming game, and the catch is those predictions have to be somewhere between adventurous and unrealistic, and creativity is appreciated. Coming out of its first open date of the 2025 season, the 12th-ranked Vols are back at Neyland Stadium on Saturday to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Tennessee is 4-1 coming out of September and looking to start a stretch of four SEC games in as many weeks with a first victory against Arkansas since 2007. The Razorbacks have won the past four meetings, in 2011, 2015, 2020 and last season, when they upset the 4-0 Vols in Fayetteville. This is the first game for Arkansas since firing head coach Sam Pittman and putting offensive coordinator and former head coach Bobby Petrino in charge of the program.

Having already made our score predictions for the game, Patrick Brown, Ben McKee and Ryan Callahan each make a trio of predictions we think could happen in the game and explain why we think they will. How did we do in the last game? The only hit was from Ben, and he barely got it – Tennessee held Mississippi State below its season rushing average by just 3 yards.
