Bobby Deol recently shared rare insights into his father Dharmendra’s personal life, clarifying where the veteran actor currently resides. Speaking in an interview with ABP Live, Bobby revealed that Dharmendra lives with his first wife, Prakash Kaur, at their farmhouse in Khandala, not in Mumbai with Hema Malini.

The actor addressed the online perception that his father lives alone, explaining, “My mum is also there. They’re both at the farm in Khandala right now. Papa and Mummy are together; he just gets a little dramatic. They love being at the farmhouse. They’re also old now, and being at the farmhouse is relaxing for them. The weather is nice, the food is nice. Papa has made a paradise out there.”

Bobby described Dharmendra as deeply emotional and expressive. “Papa is very emotional. He’s very expressive. He shares what he’s feeling with everyone… Sometimes he goes overboard, and then I ask him why he wrote what he wrote or said what he said, and he tells me that he was just following his heart,” he said.

He also spoke warmly about his mother, Prakash Kaur, who has largely stayed away from public life. “You don’t hear about my mother much because people don’t usually ask us about her. My mother is a housewife, and I am her favourite. We speak every day. She’s the strongest woman I’ve ever met in my life. She came from a small village, and adjusting to city life as the wife of a superstar was not easy. It is because of my mother’s support that my father became a big star,” Bobby added.

Dharmendra married Prakash Kaur in 1954 when he was 19. The couple has four children — Sunny, Bobby, Ajeeta, and Vijeta. Years later, in 1970, Dharmendra met Hema Malini on the sets of Tum Haseen Main Jawaan, and the two married in 1980 after a long relationship, despite resistance from both families. They have two daughters, Esha and Ahana Deol.

Hema Malini has previously described their separate living arrangement as “unusual,” but said she has accepted it and remains content with her life and children.
