(WLUK) – The MLB Championship Series are now set. In the American League the Toronto Blue Jays play the Seattle Mariners. In the National League the Milwaukee Brewers play the Los Angeles Dodgers.

There are countless storylines to follow in both series including the only Wisconsin native remaining in the playoffs hoping to make his hometown of Marshfield even more proud.

Blue Jays outfielder, Daulton Varsho, is batting .438 this postseason after an impressive series against the New York Yankees in the ALDS which included a two-homer game.

Varsho, a Marshfield native, played college ball at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee before being drafted in the second round of the 2017 MLB Draft. He played his first three seasons in Arizona as a Diamondback.

While at Milwaukee Varsho earned Horizon League Player of the Year honors his sophomore season in 2016. The outfielder also has experience in the Northwoods League, which includes the Madison Mallards and Green Bay Rockers. Varsho played for the Eau Claire Express in 2015 and 2016.

If your team has been eliminated from the 2025 playoffs consider pulling for the Toronto Blue Jays if for no other reason than seeing a Wisconsin native earn a World Series ring.

As the No. 1 seed in their respective leagues the Blue Jays and Brewers will have homefield advantage in the 7-game series.
