Let’s forget about all the drama that’s happening with football and get excited for the return of Penn State hoops, folks.
Penn State hoops released its promotions schedule for the 2025 season on Monday. The 12-game calendar features a Return to Rec Hall match, a THON match, a White Out, and more.
The Nittany Lions will begin their promotional schedule in their season opener against Fairfield on Monday, November 3. They will have two more events in November- their Military Appreciation match and Fight for Literacy match. The Military Appreciation match will feature Navy on Tuesday, November 11. The Fight for Literacy match will come eight days when Penn State takes on Harvard.
Penn State will host a Student T-Shirt Giveaway and Schuylkill County Day in its Big Ten home opener against Michigan State on December 13. To kick off 2026, the blue and white will have their White Out game against Illinois at the Palestra on January 3. Three days later, the Nittany Lions will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their home arena, the Bryce Jordan Center, when they face off against the Michigan Wolverines.
On January 22, the blue and white will play against the Wisconsin Badgers in their annual “Return to Rec Hall” game. Penn State will have four more events in its promotional schedule in February. It will host a Coaches vs Cancer game along with Alumni Day against Minnesota on February 1. The THON game will come against USC on February 8, and Academic Achievement Night, along with Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night, will be set for Rutgers on February 18.
The Nittany Lions will have one more promotional game in February with an Autism Awareness Game against Iowa on February 28, before they close out their promotional schedule with Senior Day against the Ohio State Buckeyes on March 4. Mike Rhoades’ squad will look to rebound from not making the Big Ten Tournament last season when it begins its season against Fairfield on Monday, November 3, at the Bryce Jordan Center.
