Debut at ‘Dega … Connor Mosack is set to make his debut at the biggest and boldest speedway on the planet, Talladega Superspeedway. Talladega’s heritage is deep with first-time winners and Mosack looks to become the seventh NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Trucks Series (NCTS) driver to accomplish the feat at the 2.66-mile venue. History is on the North Carolinian’s side as five of the last nine NCTS races at ‘Dega have resulted in a first-time victor. The driver of the No. 81 Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Chevrolet Silverado RST restarted on the front row in an overtime restart at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL to contend for his first-career victory and looks to similarly position himself on Friday at Talladega.

Superspeedway Student … While Mosack is tackling Talladega’s high banks for the first time this week, he can rely on his prior experience from Daytona International Speedway (DIS). The 26-year-old has made superspeedway starts in the NCTS, NASCAR Xfinity Series, and ARCA Menards Series at DIS. He proved to be a quick learner in the draft at DIS by recording a runner-up result in his first ARCA appearance there in 2023. Mosack also brings a spark of momentum to ‘Dega after scoring two top-10 finishes in the last three races.

Season to Date … Through 22 of 25 races, Mosack continues to hold the 14th position in the NCTS drivers’ point standings. Since recording a seventh-place run at Bristol Motor Speedway and finishing tenth a week ago at Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL, he has totaled four top-10 results in his rookie season. Mosack’s season high result was a sixth-place effort at Pocono Raceway and also captured his first-career pole award at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Tune In … On-track action gets underway on Friday with qualifying at 12:30 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 2, followed by the green flag on FOX network at 4:00 p.m. ET. Connor Mosack Quote:

On superspeedway racing:

“Superspeedway racing is a totally different animal, obviously. Even though I haven’t done a ton of it, the experience from Daytona will definitely help this week. So much of these races is about getting to the end and positioning yourself for the last 10 laps. We’ll need to execute the day well and take care of our Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Chevy to get to the end. We have a plan to work with our teammates and hopefully be effective in the draft together and keep all the MHR trucks towards the front.”
