Stephen A. Smith has said plenty of controversial things in the past, but his latest take has people genuinely disgusted with him.

During an appearance on NewsNation last week, Smith offered his thoughts on President Donald Trump’s possible connection to Jeffrey Epstein. He let Chris Cuomo know that he’s not really concerned by Epstein’s rumored client list.
“It’s really, really surprising that this matters. Of course I think there’s a list but I don’t know. I suspect, but I have no knowledge nor do I care,” Smith said. “I’m getting ready to enjoy myself. This client list has no effect on me whatsoever – I have a life. You got people crying on camera, talking about resignations, just angry about everything. … IÂ didn’t blame Trump one bit for looking at them and saying, ‘Really? That really matters to you?’ Maybe he had a different reason for saying it. In the grand scheme of things, it ain’t going to affect the lives of over 200-to-300 million Americans.”
After Smith unleashed this rant on NewsNation, countless people called for his job. Others said they’ll avoid watching ESPN’s “First Take” until further notice.

“Nobody should let Stephen A live this down. He should have to address it every time he gets in air because why are you getting in national television to run cover for the elites ring? He should have to answer that question every single day,” one fan wrote on X.
“ESPN should get rid of him,” a second fan declared.

“Get him outta here ESPN,” a third fan said. “Stephen A. Smith says he doesn’t care about child predators because he is toooo busy ‘living his life.’ That’s not indifference dude.. that is moral failure.”

Another fan said, “Only thing he cares about his money. No morals, no values, just money.”
Smith was asked about all the backlash he’s receiving online during an interview with TMZ. He let everyone know that he’s simply unfazed by the noise.
“What I have to say is that I don’t care, and the reason that I don’t care is because everybody has an opinion,” Smith said. “I get paid for mine. It’s my opinion based on the facts presented. I’m not getting personal, I’m not degrading anybody. I’m just calling it like I see it when asked.”

ESPN has not commented on this disturbing situation.
