BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. (KKTV) -Colorado Parks and Wildlife were called to Breckenridge after a moose calf got stuck in a bowl at a skate park.
On Thursday, Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) said officers responded to the call. The moose was sedated with assistance from Breckenridge and the Town of Breckenridge recreation staff, CPW said.
The moose was then secured into a harness and lifted out of the bowl at the skate park.
After the moose was removed from the bowl, wildlife officials said he was carried away from the skate park and released. CPW said they remained in the area to watch over him as the sedation wore off and he was able to stand up on his own.
Wildlife officials said they kept a close eye on the little moose until he reunited with his mom.
“We kept an eye on our little skater moose until he and Mom were reunited,” Colorado Parks and Wildlife said.
