Arne Slot has eased concerns over a hamstring injury for Ryan Gravenberch. And he says the Liverpool midfielder is ready to face Manchester United at Anfield on Sunday.

Slot has also indicated that Ibrahima Konate is set to train with his colleagues on Friday as he delivered a couple of timely injury boosts for the Reds ahead of the visit from Ruben Amorim’s side this weekend.

The Premier League champions host their historic rivals aiming to end a three-game run of defeats prior to the international break, when they lost on the road to Crystal Palace, Galatasaray and Chelsea during a difficult week.

Gravenberch played 45 minutes in the 4-0 win over Finland on Sunday and was withdrawn as a precaution over fears of a hamstring issue, while Konate was sent back from France duty after a muscle problem detected in the 2-1 loss at Chelsea on October 4.

“Ryan is completely fit,” Slot said in his Friday press conference. “Although we still have to train twice, but if you ask me now he is completely fit.

“We are in a good place with the Dutch national team. If Ronald Koeman can make a decision to either play Tijani Reijnders or Ryan Gravenberch.

“So he played them both for 45 minutes. Ibou (Konate) has come back to us and has started his sessions again and is expected to train with us today.”

Slot also provided an update on goalkeeper Alisson Becker who is recovering from a hamstring issue sustained in the 1-0 defeat to Galatasaray late last month.

Slot added: “Alisson is not training with us, so he is out. How long is he out? It’s difficult to say as the end phase of rehab always gives you positives and negatives but he will not play for the weekend or next week.”
