Canadian frontcourt players Zach Edey and Brandon Clarke are also both slated to miss time at the start of the season for the Grizzlies with ankle and knee injuries, respectively.
Pippen Jr. averaged 9.9 points, 4.4 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.4 steals while playing a key role off the bench for the Grizzlies last season.
Memphis will need to reach far down its depth chart while it waits for its roster to get healthy.
Superstar point guard Ja Morant is also day-to-day with an ankle injury and may be unable to suit up for the Grizzlies’ season opener on Wednesday.
