Barcelona took a few days to digest the bombshell news of Nico Williams’ snub and renewal with Athletic Bilbao, but the club seem to have made a firm decision on their new left winger target.

According to multiple reports, Barça have come to terms with the fact that Liverpool will not sell their main target in Luis Díaz and have decided to go “all-in” for Marcus Rashford, who has become their new priority in the market.

A deal for Rashford is significantly simpler to complete than Díaz, given United’s desperation to part ways with the England international and Rashford’s strong desire for a move to Camp Nou.

Barça currently plan to secure a season-long loan deal with an option to buy for next summer, while United would like a permanent transfer to officially sever ties with the player. The Red Devils aren’t expected to put up too much of a fight, however, given manager Ruben Amorim’s desire to not have Rashford around in pre-season, so Barça are expected to get the deal they want.

Hansi Flick would like to have his new left winger ready for the early stages of pre-season, so this deal could get done sooner rather than later. Stay tuned.
