Angel Reese has been one of the most productive players to join the WNBA circuit over the last two years. Two All-Star selections and leading the league in rebounding in consecutive seasons, she is already on the short list of the greatest rebounders in league history. Climbing the rankings of the best players in the league, her uber popularity has also resulted in a ton of attention through endorsements and brand value.
Ever since her career took off at LSU, she has perpetually remained in the limelight, with many brand endorsements coming her way. But the success for the Reese family is now going beyond just their WNBA superstar. After an excellent collegiate run, her younger brother, Julian Reese, has a chance of a lifetime on an NBA team.

Spending four years at the collegiate level, Angel split her time between Maryland and LSU. A legendary run between the two programs saw her assemble a nearly unparalleled resume across the board.
Earning All-Defensive and All-American selections at every level, she won the national championship with LSU in 2023, before jumping to the pros as the seventh overall pick in 2024.
Her brother followed a somewhat similar trajectory. A four-star recruit who joined Maryland in 2021, he remained with the program until 2025. In his sophomore campaign, he took on the full-time starter role and gradually became a valuable part of their rotation.
As his scoring load went up per year, he finished his four-year run averaging 11.1 points and 7.6 rebounds per game, while adding over two stocks each night. His efficiency, in particular, was wildly effective for Maryland, as he shot 55.7% for his career.
However, the 6-foot-9 power forward went undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft before being picked up by the Los Angeles Lakers for the Summer League. Unfortunately, that did not convert to a proper contract.
This week, though, he got his second opportunity courtesy of the Toronto Raptors, who gave him an Exhibit 10 contract. His college program shared the news, which immediately drew a reaction from the WNBA superstar.
Enjoying a productive summer herself off the court, Reese walked the ramp for Victoria’s Secret and was selected on the cover of Vogue magazine over the last few months. But she found time to send out a message on X, “Congrats to my baby brother! Love you! @Reese10Julian”
For a Raptors team that has perennially tried to build out the roster with an incredibly versatile roster filled with wings with size, Reese fits that bill to a tee. Now, it’ll be interesting to see if he can impress the team enough in the preseason to give him a legitimate shot at the full roster.
