True love is blind, and it rolls with the punches.

“Love Is Blind” alums Johnny McIntyre and Amy Tiffany tied the knot during season 6 of the Netflix reality show, which aired in 2024. It takes a strong connection to make it through the tumultuous experience of “Love Is Blind,” where couples get married without seeing each other and say “I Do” only weeks later.

After being surrounded by cameras in the early stages of their relationship, Johnny and Amy have continued to thrive in the real world. They recently had an opportunity to celebrate other couples who’ve overcome unusual circumstances together.

On Wednesday, Oct. 8, Johnny and Amy officiated a vow renewal ceremony for married couples whose wedding plans were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The heartwarming event, which took place at the iconic Empire State Building in Manhattan, was hosted by Citizen and Zales.

As Johnny and Amy shared touching words about the power of love, the selected couples, who traveled from all over the country to attend, stood facing each other. Their smiles radiated peace and acceptance, with no visible trace of the disappointments they experienced on their path to wedded bliss.

One of the pairs, Karsten and Erica M. of Texas, cheerfully told NJ.com that their wedding was supposed to have 200 guests before the pandemic thwarted their plans.

“It was, like, 15 people. [Just] our close family,” Erica said of their scaled-down nuptials. “We had our first dance in a parking lot, and we just ate at a Mexican restaurant with our family to celebrate.”

Erica and Karsten are now expecting their first baby together, and they’re eyeing a 10-year anniversary party to make up for the big wedding they didn’t get to have.

“All that matters at the end of the day is we love each other,” Erica said. “So even though of course every girl has her dream of a big wedding and all the things, I was content, because at the end of the day, we’re where we are. We’ve come a long way, we’ve been through a lot of things to get here.”

Johnny and Amy were moved by the couples’ positive attitudes.

“We met so many couples who shared their unique love stories – couples that truly embody the power of love and commitment and how it can overcome any obstacle,” Amy wrote via Instagram alongside several photos from the event. ”Not going to lie, it made us emotional seeing so much love in the air and we were so grateful to be a part of this moment in time with all the beautiful couples.“

To represent the enduring nature of true love, each couple received the timeless gift of a Citizen timepiece along with jewelry styling from Zales.

“Love Is Blind” is available to stream on Netflix.
