Jasmine Paolini can look back on another WTA Tour season fondly, although it is far from over for the Italian.
Paolini just took on the Ningbo Open in China, where she battled to two victories before falling in the semifinals.
Elena Rybakina beat Paolini to reach the final of the WTA 500 tournament, which she went on to win against Ekaterina Alexandrova.
Paolini has climbed two spots in the WTA rankings to sixth following her run, with Rybakina also jumping two spots to seventh.
But the Italian received an added bonus thanks to her lengthy run at the Ningbo Open, having qualified for the WTA Finals.
