The Notre Dame Men’s Basketball team is ready to make a significant jump in the ACC conference this season.

One of the big upsides for the Irish is returning scoring talent.

For the second straight year, Head Coach Micah Shrewsberry will have a returning roster with the highest scoring by percentage of any ACC school at nearly 55 %.

One of those players responsible for the Irish scoring is starting guard Markus Burton, who is averaging nearly 21-points per game.

The Irish also bring in freshman guard Jalen Haralson from La Lumiere, who is the highest-rated prospect who averaged nearly 16-points per game for the Lakers.

With many returning players and some new faces for the Irish.

Head Coach Micah Shrewsberry says this team is ready to take the next step.

We have talked about our mentality as a team. We have to be tougher; we need to win games down the stretch. We were 6 – 7 in games where they were 6 points or less, we got to win those games down the stretch, and that starts with your mentality. A lot of those we had double digit leads. So, let’s be tougher mentality and physically this year” says Shrewsberry.

The Fighting Irish will host Depaul University in an exhibition game this Friday at 6:00 PM ET.

Then the Irish will open the season on Monday, November 3rd against LIU Brooklyn.
